Sample task from our practice test “Kolleg-Probetest München · T-Kurs”

Teil A · Vereinfachen Sie: 1/(x − 1) − 1/(x + 1)

  • 2x/(x² − 1)
  • −2/(x² − 1)
  • 2/(x² − 1)
  • 0
Show answer and solution

Answer: 2/(x² − 1)

Hauptnenner (x − 1)(x + 1) = x² − 1: [(x + 1) − (x − 1)] / (x² − 1) = 2/(x² − 1).

Task written by Euro-Uni in the format of the Studienkolleg entrance test (not an official task).
