Process

How we work together

Education and goal analysis

We verify diploma recognition via the anabin database, discuss interests and career goals. We identify realistic programmes and universities.

Programme and university selection

We search for programmes based on your grades, language, city and specialisation. We compile a list of 4–8 universities with realistic chances.

Documents and submission

Motivation letter, CV, notarised translations. Submission via uni-assist and directly through university portals. Deadline monitoring.

Zulassung and visa

Once you have the Zulassung — help with Sperrkonto (from €11,208), embassy appointment, all visa documents.

  • Language certificate: German B2–C1 or IELTS/TOEFL
  • Reference letters (not always required)

  • Winter semester (October): apply by 15 July
  • Summer semester (April): apply by 15 January
  • Some universities have their own deadlines
  • Uni-assist processes applications up to 12 weeks
  • We recommend starting 9–12 months in advance

  • German-language: DSH-2 / TestDaF 4 / B2–C1 required
  • English-language: IELTS 6.0–7.0 / TOEFL 80–100
  • Mixed: German + English
  • Language courses in Germany — an excellent start

  • State universities: free (+ semester fee €200–400)
  • Fachhochschule (applied): often also free
  • Private universities: €5,000–20,000 per year

Frequently asked about Bachelor's

Can I apply without German? +
Yes — many programmes are taught in English. English programmes require IELTS 6.0–7.0 or TOEFL. German programmes require DSH-2 or TestDaF 4. At the consultation we'll help you decide on the language of instruction.
Will my diploma / certificate be recognised? +
It depends on the country and document type. Check anabin.kmk.org. If the diploma is not directly recognised — you most likely need Studienkolleg or 1–2 semesters at a German university. We'll review your case at the consultation.
What is uni-assist? +
Uni-assist is a centralised application system for international students. Many German universities only accept documents through it. We help with registration and correct application submission.
How long does the process take? +
From starting preparation to your first day at university — usually 9–14 months. Document collection: 1–2 months. Application review: 2–4 months. Visa: 1–3 months. Plan ahead.
Can I work while studying? +
Yes. Students may work 120 full days or 240 half-days per year (~20 hours per week during semester). A real option to partially cover expenses.
Is there an admission guarantee? +
No — the university decides. We prepare documents and applications as thoroughly as possible to maximise your chances. At the consultation we honestly assess the feasibility of specific programmes.
